World of Warcraft Stress Test Beta Signups Open

erax0r writes "FilePlanet has been given 100,000 World of Warcraft stress test beta accounts. Sign up for a FilePlanet paid account to be given a beta CD key which will be activated a later date. Blizzard has also composed a FAQ for the stress test." If you're not a FilePlanet subscriber, and with the exception of this I don't know why anyone would be, you have a chance of getting in the stress test, but forking over the cash guarantees your spot.

Seven day trial for $7.50 to $15.00 and you can grind your way up to the highest level by doing crappy story related quests with all the other thousands of 31337 sp34k kiddiez! They have got to put an infomerical out on this, it's so great.

Blizzard's choice to align themselves in any way with FilePlanet should set of klaxons and throw up red flags all over the place. FilePlanet pretty much embodies everything that is wrong with the internet gaming scene right now, and apparently now by extension Blizzard would like to be included in that category. If you fall for this, PT Barnum would love you...

So don't waste your money people, either to shell out to Blizzard directly or to the losers at FilePlanet. I guess at least be thankful that Blizzard let everyone know ahead of time to not bother with WoW.

I can't believe gamers are so desparate that they'd actually pay for a 7 day stress test! These theys people deserve to have the wallets stolen after you repeatedly smack them about the head.

To think that in the near future this is what online gaming will evolve into makes me want to take up knitting.

Pay to BETA, Pay for the Game, Pay to Play... what a useless fuckin' herd!

    Enjoy the game - MOooooo!
