Simplifying Linux Driver Installation

Simply write your own.. Isnt that the point of linux... Its the answer ever newbie gets when asking about drivers
As if PnP on Windows was not trouble enough, now the following dialog box has been reported seen on select linux systems around the world:

stop wasting your time with linux peoples... windows is stable and secure (XP SP2), with 100x as much functionability than linux and it plays computer games.
Linux won't make it to the desktop. Ever.
Until MS comes up with The Next Great Idea the the open source community can't/won't plagarise that is.
Don't get me wrong - I am somewhat of a Linux fanboy - but I find it ironic that everyone bashes MS while at the same time blatantly rips off their concepts.... GNOME, KDevelop, Hardware Abstraction Layer.
Oh I know: now start with the purile Xerox and Apple stories and oblique references to blowfish.
