AMD Desktops Outsell Intel
prostoalex writes "For the week ending August 21st AMD managed to capture 54% market share among new desktops sold. Intel's share during the week was 45%. While Intel leads the U.S. CPU market with 82.7% market share, folks from AMD are proud to announce this is the second week this year - they also outsold Intel on the desktop market one time in April 2004."
Don't reward someone whose question is answered by just looking at the article without even reading it.
Bring on more AMDs, that's only more repair work for us as we fix everyone's cooked CPUs (and sometimes motherboard) because they smoke and have cats and their fans got choked up and quit.
Bah.. Intel still rules for reliability, good solid chipsets and, oh yeah, reliability.
Anyone doing "serious" A/V work uses a Mac!
I have to say WTF!!
Seriously WTF
it was only a week.
AMD still fucking blows.
how about pumping up the mhz eh?
sure they might be able to compete with a 2400 barton versus a 2.4 intel.
But how about actually selling a 2.4 mhz instead of
letting your marketers try and sell it.
Fucking fanbois
The parent was calling the grandparent a troll, you stupid fucking cum guzzler.
