Proposal: Put Library of Congress' Contents Online
Mark_Uplanguage writes "The idea to scan in all materials available at the U.S. Library of Congress was presented at the Web 2.0 conference this week (as just one of many ideas presented). The proposed cost of $260 million would create a huge benefit to society (well, at least to those who can read English)."
haha. "helmetburton". you made a funny. fuck of and die liberal scum. without a wellfunded military the U.S. would be overrun by russian and islamic barbarians.
Compared to the $200 billion to kill and maim tens (hundreds?) of thousands of people in the name of "terrorism", $260 million to create essentially, a Library of Alexandria is a fucking bargain.
I don't respond to AC's.
You must love being wrong, because you seem to have a lot of pratice at it. You make shit up that has no basis in reality then you brag about it like some kind of fucknazi.
That Wikipedia article that you quoted -- that's all shit that I knew since the 6th grade (if not before), and yet you had to look it up in a god-damned internet encyclopedia. Asshat.
"There is no analogy?" What tripe. You obviously don't understand what analogies are or how they're used, but your turkey-gobbling somehow nevertheless got modded to 4?
"Fact of the matter is?" Stop making assertions, blowhard. You aren't the source or the stopping point of All Known Information, regardless of what you might think.
Please stop using slashdot as a place to drop poorly-thought out, emotionalism-fueled rants cloaked in the suitable guise of being reasonable. In spite of your grandstanding, you haven't said anything novel. You haven't said anything that was novel 10 years ago. You haven't said dick.
