An Alternative to SQL?
Golygydd Max writes "Dave Voorhis from the University of Derbyshire has developed a program incorporating Tutorial D, a language designed to overcome of the shortcomings of SQL, and developed some years ago by Hugh Darwen and Chris Date. Until now, no-one had done anything with it but Voorhis is hoping for wider adoption; although we think it would be like pushing water uphill though." I'm so ronery So ronery So ronery and sadly arone There's no one, just me only, waiting to kiss me back home I work very hard to be number 1 guy Still there's nobody who right up my rife Seems that no one takes me seriousrey And so, I'm ronery A little ronery Poor wittle me There's nobody I can rerate to Feel rike a bird in a cage It's kinda silly But not really Because it's filling my body with rage. I work really hard to stay nice and fit But none of the women seem to give a shit When I rule the world maybe they'll notice me But until then I'll just be ronery A little ronery, poor wittle me I'm so ronery.
I understand, of course, that I will be modded down as well as flamed. But, in this case, it is worth it.

Before I get modded down, I just connected an extra computer to my home network and I want to put Linux on it. I have never done anything with Linux before though I have been in the industry in mostly technical capacities since '83. So, I can handle some pain, but not too much. Can someone suggest a distro that will be fairly easy to install as well as where I can get it? The machine is a PII 333Mhz, 160MB RAM, 8GB HD, CD, floppy, a 4MB video card, and USB ports. Hope that helps. You can reply here or to homerun@gmail.com. Thanks in advance!! If you happen to identify yourself I will get back to you with how this "virginal" event went :-)
I have pushed water uphill, for you see, I am the chosen one. I pushed it with my oily hands.
Water is the only fluid that has the ability to climb surfaces due to its cohesiveness.

So you essentially saying "If you disagree, you're not clever enough to agree?"
No. Actually, what I said was that I think you're clever enough to study college level introductory mathematics on your own without someone to hold your hand.
I could, of course, be wrong.
