    There was a time when chess was a game of skill, where two human beings pitted their mental agility against each other in an epic battle of intellect.

    What chess computers have done is to completely remove any fun from chess by being so good (even on difficulty level 0) that any mere mortal can never win.

    I can see why introverted geeks might prefer to play against a machine, but these are the very people who might benefit from more human interaction.

    In my opinion, chess computers should be banned.
