What about realplayer? You might want to consider using MP3 for all your stuff, as I have found that Ogg is quite a minority platform, and you will find that hardly anyone will have the ability to decode it.
If you MUST be different, try AAC, its lossless unlike ogg and gives better than cd quality by eliminating jitter.
I think the fact that someone actually cares about something as mundane, commoditized and ultimately interchangable as an operating system, marks them out as slightly wierd.

What chess computers have done is to completely remove any fun from chess by being so good (even on difficulty level 0) that any mere mortal can never win.

If they take up D&D, their chances of getting laid goes down even more. Slashdot should be publishing more articles that would help its readership get laid, not inhibit their chances. In europe, the PDA has been taken over by the cellphone. Why would you need a separate device when your phone can already do it all? Its just gadgetry for the sake of it.

Libel is Libel whether or not it occurs online, it could be even more damaging too, since people believe what they read on websites in an almost totally uncritical way.
I'd be worried about lawsuits from this. Anything that lowers the body temperature in such an unnatural way should be subject to a full FDA investigation before it is unleashed on the general public. Still under the Bush administration, this is unlikely to happen. I shall not be using this method of cooling any time soon!
There's a guy in the next cube from me who cannot ever resist any opportunity to advocate Linux. Never mind if the discussion is high end 'big iron' (E10Ks) or the receptionists word processing solution, he always claims it can be done more efficiently, or cheaper with Linux. The irony is, he doensn't even use Linux on his work box (we are allowed to run RedHat) because he claims RedHat are 'anti-open source'.
