pr1000 writes "Wired is reporting that the State Department is planned on adding RFID chips to new American passports, starting with diplomat's passports in January. Those worried about the privacy concerns of RFID should take notice, as this rollout could set a precedent."

I for one embrace all this extra identification.

I have nothing to hide, and long for a world where I can 'buy' anything I like without needing money, and and travel wherever I like without needing ID.

Let technology track me automagically, it will make my life easier on so many levels.

And for all you paranoid privacy nuts: There are are what, 6-and-bit billion people on this planet, what makes you think that the governments are interested in you ? Somehow I think they have bigger fish to fry.

Healthy people, standing 8 hours in cold weather and rain in line with coughing and sneezing old and piss poor dudes to get a preventive flu shot IS the most idiotic thing ever done by US citizens.

Not waiting 8 hours in the cold is a sure way to protect yourself from the flu. Instead, do some exercises now and then, end your shower with ice-cold water for ten seconds every two days, keep to a healthy diet.

But no, millions of US citizens aim for a Darwin Award waiting hours in the cold. People are dumb...

Oh great, let's all just walk around with targets painted on us if we leave the country. Or better yet get out the ole "F@!# you I'm from the USA!" T-shirts and wear them.
Instead of marking our passports put them on the passports of folks coming into our country. Student visa's, terrorists maybe.
