Lab creates brain made from rat cells
KingNothing writes "A University of Florida scientist has created a living "brain" of cultured rat cells that now controls an F-22 fighter jet flight simulator.
Scientists say the research could lead to tiny, brain-controlled prosthetic devices and unmanned airplanes flown by living computers.

The byline to the photo with the story is rather unfortunate - under a picture of a man holding a seemingly molded petri dish, is the text "DeMendi with his Brain"
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.
Maybe someone can use a rat brain to prevent dupes on Slashdot!
Is that I even emailed a link to the supposedly on-duty editor, and SAID that this was a dupe. It's okay if nobody's let them know what's going on, but I know that at LEAST one email was sent telling them not to post this story.
