Lab creates brain made from rat cells

KingNothing writes "A University of Florida scientist has created a living "brain" of cultured rat cells that now controls an F-22 fighter jet flight simulator.     Is that I even emailed a link to the supposedly on-duty editor, and SAID that this was a dupe. It's okay if nobody's let them know what's going on, but I know that at LEAST one email was sent telling them not to post this story.

    it's strange how a few people that actually put some posts here saying that this is a dupe and even made links to original slashdot discussion are being modded into zeros as redundant.

    I think the article is redundant, not the posters who point you to a correct place to read the discussion. They are just being informative - if not for them, you would miss an actual discussion.

      Not really, more than on 'dupe' declaration is redundant, whereas you can't moderate a story.

      On the other hand, would you prefer 'insightful' for every one?

      As it should be.

      A.) Multiple whinings about it are redundant. Big ol karma grab here if theyr'e modded up.

      B.) Posting that it's redundant does more harm than good. Want dupes to go away? Don't comment in that thread. More comments == more ad hits for Slashdot.

      C.) It's not like Slashdot is killing puppies when they dupe a story.

      If you don't want stories duped, best thing to do is just to ignore the thread.
