Sims 2: University Announced
Voodoo Extreme has the news that the first expansion for the Sims 2 has been announced. Sims 2: University will allow young adult sims to experience all the joys of college life. "Sims can choose from one of 11 majors and by keeping their grades on track, they'll secure a final degree and open up 4 new career paths. Players will enjoy all-new college based wants and fears that are tied to their Sims' social life and academic goals which will lead to new rewards and powers that will help them achieve their goals and aspirations in college and beyond." Ahh...but will there be LAN parties?
Sweet! All the debauchery I missed in college, I can now get in a videogame!
But i suppose it gets round the 'go to work' problem that the sims had, students don't go to lectures.
Instead you can goto the grant office, get cash then just go to the pub/bar and try and get laid while taking drugs.
I wonder, can you become a chemist or grow weed to sell?
My sim just graduated Harvard with a double major!
I, on the other hand, just dropped out of community college. Just couldn't find the time to go to school in my busy life.
Ahh...but will there be LAN parties?
90% of my college LAN parties involved trying to get a IPX and Windows 95 network started for Doom. These kids today have it easy.
Um, why would "we" "jump at the opportunity" for things like that? If "we" really wanted to, we would have done them in real life, yes?
I have a couple regrets about college, but I certainly do not regret staying as far away from frats as possible.
Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum sonatur.
I'm going to make a George Castanza sim and take up marine biology and architecture. I'll fulfill his dreams.
Then he'll get a job at Vandalay industries on the side.
Sims 2: Keg Party!
The World Wide Web is dying. Soon, we shall have only the Internet.
We don't have Majors in the UK University system, We do have Jeremy Paxman on Unversity Chalange.
Now that would be cool having my Sym being quized by Paxo
Wouldn't it be nice if schools got all the money they wanted and the army had to hold jumble sales for guns
It would interesting if this was extended to create an actual online university, where you'd actually have to learn the stuff to progress your character. Edutainment back from the dead!
OK, take my damn geek card. Talking about a video game where you get to do these things instead of trying to it ourselves is where I get off the geek train.
I wonder if it'll add facility on computers to download music and get sued by the RIAA scenario.

I'm playing this game right now. It sucks. Arbitrary grading, traffic trying to get to class, books costing $100+.. wait.. you mean playing behind a computer? Oh.. my bad. ;P

Dear Penthouse Forum: I never thought it would happen to me. I am a sophomore Sim at Maxis Community College. I had just installed the nude hack when suddenly the doorbell rang...
So, do you get to slowly pay down the $40,000 in student loans over the next 30 years of your Sim's life? Also, when do we get The Sims 2: Midlife Crisis and The Sims 2: The Retirement Years (but you can't really retire because your employer just went bankrupt and took your 401(k) with them)? No, I'm not middle-aged, but I think it's funny that EA is convincing millions of people that managing someone else's life is more fulfilling than managing their own.

Because the itching from getting the clap from a sorority girl is only simulated in the video game.
