The only handheld videogame system that could resonably support a FPS is the DS. At minimum you would need two motion controls, one for each hand and one of those would need to be analog.

I'll take that back. You may be able to squeeze an FPS on a PSP if you use the analog nub for look, the right side buttons for move, and the d-pad for weapon select. Not perfect, but workable.

The Gizmondo has no analog controls. If you were to use the D-pad for moving and the four right hand buttons for look, only the two triggers would be easily reachable. So you have shoot and action, jump, or weapon select.

A Gizmondo Halo would be to XBOX's Halo what the SNES Doom was to the PC Doom, not worth playing.

The Metroid Prime Hunters demo that comes with the DS proves you wrong. The DS has more processing power and the same amount of RAM as the N64.

      See GoldenEye and Perfect Dark.

My main concern is controls, and the DS has better control system than any other console for FPS games, because the touchpad works like a mouse. As I said, you could pull off an FPS without complete catastrophy on the PSP as long as that analog nub thing is a competant analog stick. Still the best you could hope for with the PSP are controls as good as modern home consoles. The DS is closer to a PC level of control.

My point wasn't that I expected Microsoft would port Halo to the DS. It's that they should be smart enough not to port it to the Gizmondo. They will only disappoint fans if they do.
