I wouldnt be surprised if this is misquoted and it really means the JIT translation that the other browser engines use. But doing it on another core is a nice move, I wonder how well that affects the performance. I'd honestly have expected Apple to do that first, having a good API for doing this kind of thing.
The main problems with things like this are that you have to go out and buy an expensive peripheral for an 'extra' in the game, you can play the game perfectly fine without it usually its only to enhance. The reason keyboard and mouse stuck for gaming is because you have them there.
I love the innovations that these kinda things do, but I'll probably never get to use it. Plus all my games are downloaded from Steam now.
Yeah, what's probably happened is they've hooked up a quick database to store users / tweets etc
Then all the front end work is just shamelessly taken and they only have to work on making a similar API for it to work with. I wouldn't be surprised to find that a Plurk client would just work with the MSN one if you change the URL.
The design is also painfully similar, so I imagine they just threw on the microsoft branding on the front and uploaded some new images and colours in the CSS.
Its front-end web programming (HTML/CSS/Javascript) that was stolen, these are always open to read, they could only obfuscate that if they felt the need.
Howeever the backend code would probably have to have been written themselves (especially as its more likely the startup used ruby/php than asp)
On OS X this has been available for ages, switchs all youtube videos to HTML5 and is extensible for other placse like Dailymotion.

This happened to my site and the google webmaster tools were helpful but frustrating, it took 2 weeks of my site being banned in all major browsers before they officially sanctioned it OK. It did give me a list of all the URLS where there was problems, so it wasn't too hard to debug.
Before a million 'oh noes runtime' posts.
It doesn't use the flash runtime, it uses Apple's LLVM to convert the usual AS3 JIT runtime to being a compiled app. This is why it won't have any problems with the app store. The OP is wrong, and it's documented. As proved by the fact they have apps on the store.
I just hope this gets Open Sourced so that we don't have to use the Flash IDE to do it.
I'd like to try writing some of these robots, and I'm fascinated what other larger companies are going to do with it. Facebook integration would be great, but I'm more interested in seeing how the google apps on the whole work with it.
Don't forget that they were nice enough to let us watch the advert first then tell us that we can't watch it. Alternative link: http://www.gametrailers.com/game/rage/5315
The book Emotional Intelligence quotes that how good a kid is at delaying gratification between 2-5 has a better chance at identifying their SAT scores etc. Nothing too new here.
I've only been buying Xbox arcade / Wiiware games on my consoles for the past 2-3 months, they seem to be the most interesting. Perhaps the trend is turning on itself as it takes so much time to make a larger game nowadays.

Firefox has a new javascript engine called Jagermonkey that will probably beat it, as it's in part the webkit engine.
looking at the outcome IE comes off the worst with the current algorithm, please keep it that way. Thanks from all the Web Developers.
I hope the page of contents is a list of the 21 top pages of the book.

Its not exactly most favored nation, if there's no advantage to being so.

You'll want to take a look at the Webkit Nightlies to check out their dev tools, eventually they'll move into chrome/safari but its worth the occasional crash for what they bring: http://blog.bogojoker.com/2009/10/improving-the-web-inspector/

That's because in Safari it uses quicktime to render the video element

Psycho-acoustic simulation sounds like a real good pseudo-science. Maybe they can create an agreement in exchange for some platinum covered cables!

So could this be used as a precedent for 'exporting' other decrypting code?
He may however on the overall costs including the cinema tickets
I thought that, but one of the project owners has a google.com email address
There are a lot of explanations in these threads... If you dont get it after reading them go and consult the video.

I thought I'd say a big thanks from the Mac community!

Set that graph to 10years and you can see the tech bubble pop :)
