iPod Shuffle, Mac Mini, iLife '05, iWork
A number of announcements from the Mac World keynote this afternoon.
The iPod Shuffle is pack-of-gum sized, no screen, weighs less than an ounce. Ships today, $99 for the half gig, $149 for a gig.
The Mac Mini is the headless iMac... 6x6x2.5 with all the expected plugs, starting at $499.
Lot's of tiger bits, spotlight, virtual folders in Mail.app. iLife '05 will ship Jan 22. iPhoto gets folders and video support. iMovie supports HD. GarageBand gets 8 channel recording. iWork includes Keynote 2, and 'Pages' the new word processor and ships the same day as iLife.
An ipod with no screen. Mac zealots really WILL buy anything, won't they?

little more? i can get a 512mb usb keychain for 30 dollars. for 70 dollars i can get a 512mb mp3 player, WITH SCREEN, and EXPANDABLE with a memory stick. WTF? iRipoff is more like it

Well, here it is.
BZZZT, try again. The PeeCee didn't have any use for that mouse back in '83, while the ST at least had a coherent GUI and OS. Besides, who gives a flying f^Hduck? The mouse conceptualized from the Xerox PARC project. They were the first. Everyone feel better now? Look, they'll be those who will keep on ranting about the 1-button since well... thats all there is to rant about. Frankly, I don't get what the problem is. The interface is FULLY usable with the stock mouse. Yes, I prefer my optical 3-button mouse. Yes, I will use it with my Mini or iBook when I get it.
