Star Wars Episode III To Open Cannes

bonch wrote in to mention an article on the IGN site. "The Cannes Film Festival is going to the dark side. After months of negotiations between George Lucas and festival officials, Star Wars: Episode III - The Revenge Of The Sith will open the festival in the South of France in May."

    Nice to see George is hard at work on marketing Episode III. If only he had spent as much time on making sure other projects didn't go to crap aka KOTOR2.

    I'm sorry. But I would have to disagree with that evaluation.

    Ep 1=crumby movie, great fight scene at the end

    Ep 2=crumby movie, No redeeming value. Yoda goes spastic and jumps around like a spinning kangaroo. Need I say more.

    This third one will be no different.

    It's not that they are bad Star Wars films its that they are in general BAD movies.

    That said it doesn't mean you can't still enjoy them. So GO. Spend more money on another debacle of a film.

    Cannes is in France anyway, and the French suck because they didn't want to send their troops to die to save the world from WMD! I propose we make our own film festival, the Freedom Films Festival! Where we can show movies like the dramatic rescue of Jessica Lynch, or...
