UK Leads in TV Show Downloading

dirutz writes "Britain has emerged as the world's biggest market for downloading pirated TV, with Australia being the second and the U.S. sitting at third. Among the top pirated TV shows, '24' ranks the first. 'The Simpsons,' 'Enterprise,' 'Stargate SG-1' and 'Battlestar Galactica' are also among the top hitters." 'Pirated' seems a strong word, at least for watching those programs which have been beamed (unencrypted) through my body. Where can I pay a quarter per show for moderate-quality, sanctioned torrent files?

Slashdot already got rid of Michael, who was crazy but slightly entertaining in a at-least-he-isn't-my-neighbor sort of way. Timothy can't edit for shit, why not get rid of him as well? I doubt he has a single defender.

It's been all of half a day since he posted his last dupe story - the original story was on the front page at the time. It's obvious he doesn't care.

I'll say that I find Timothy's articles to be fairly balanced -- completely opposite, of course, to Michael's. Maybe the guy's having a shitty weekend and got a run of bad luck in posting a couple of dupes. Maybe (or likely) there's a group of trolls who enjoy nothing more than submitting the same stories over and over in the hopes of catching someone off guard.

At any rate, at least see if it becomes a recurring thing before organizing the lynch mob.

      Sigh.
This is getting soooo tedious. Anyway:

      You must be new here.

Seriously, can't someone write a bot that can auto-post these YMBNH replies? Anyone?

Err... Are you sure ? After all, Slashdot without dupes isn't Slashdot any more...

In fact it may care about the tradition of Slashdot to posting dupes...

  3. www.empornium.us is still LARGEST bittorrent site! by Anonymous Coward · · Score: -1, Offtopic

www.empornium.us is still LARGEST bittorrent site in the world and has limited leaching, and not only has the most content (most of it porno full length movies), it has the fastest throughput and most selection and most active members.

The reason? its difficult to leech and its accounts based.

For every 100 gigabytes you download you are expected to host the same 100 gigabytes back.

Many users on www.Empornium.us has terabytes of files they got from the trackers run by sazaraski and his american buddies.

Yup, its the last and only AMERICAN soil tracker with bank accounts in the usa (you have to pay 5 dollars minimum to join or get hassled). PayPal dropped them, and they only give out their PO box to trusted traders after an MPAA close call or two, though i guess i could post it.

The motto fo www.Empornium.us seems to be "so long as MOST of what we trade is porno, playboy or Hustler products, maybe the MPAA will leave us alone" and because the MPAA film trackers they run are not tied to the main porn trackers.

suprnova was a mere fart compared to the 50,000 plus ACTIVE movie traders on www.empornium.us

you have to be invited to join, or vouched for, or beg on IRC, or plead on their discussion board, but i think they closed pleading down.

anyway. so long as mpaa never gets into it, and they can keep collecting their couple thousand bucks per month (never more than 5,000 per month collected at best) to pay electric bills and web maintenance costs, www.Empornium.us will always be the biggest trader torrent site on the planet. And its in the USA of all places.
