Is Your OS Tough Enough?

LE UI Guy writes "A Denver Post article examines the Internet 'horrors' Windows, Mac and Linux users face simply being connected to the Internet with only an out-of-box configuration. Over the course of a single week the machines were scanned 46,255 times. The test didn't look into additional security threats caused by surfing the web or reading e-mail, just the connection itself."

what good is an OS with heavy security when it can't do shit bitchez??? openbsd is a one trick pony. chrot jails and some overflow protection. where are the desktop environs that come with the default install? where are the gui utilities for configuring stuff? why is the installer still chracter based? in this day and age of real unixes like mac os ten, why must we be subjected to the ravings of idiots like openbsd users who like to pound the table about how seure their os is. stupid hacks. ok, so big fuck deal what? you have a secure os and shitty apps that no one cares about. apache on openbsd sucks because it's not even up to apache 2.0 and it doesn't come with the ost common modules for supporting perl php and webdav. bind is useless because the chrot jail makes it next to impossible to run multiple dns servers on one bo with two doing external dns and two doing internal dns. dhcpd seems to work ok but what good is that when even a linksys or dlink router also does dhcp and much better. where are the web based configuration apps that make life easier. why does a person have to be a command line humper in order to install and maintain an os? i'll tell you why. because bsd is dying and openbsd is the most dead bsd of the deadest os in computer history. so fuck you openbsd zealots. you can all suck my knob bitchez.

Just so you know, the "cheap, buggy" linksys hardware runs Linux. Same with Buffalo.
