Militants Planned Attack On Indian Software Firms
Alien54 writes "Militants killed in an encounter in New Delhi on Saturday night planned to attack leading software companies in Bangalore in addition to the Indian Military Academy in Dehra Dun, Delhi police said on Sunday Indian police claim the men were members of Lashkar-e-Toiba - a Wahabi militant group fighting for an independent Kashmir. Apart from maps of call centers police also recovered 100 kilos of dynamite, 10.5 kilos of RDX explosive, 450 detonators, three AK-56 rifles and a satellite phone."
keen not to have thir job outsourced by any means possible...
Get a free iPod Nano 4GB!
Can you say Identity Theft?
There are many call centre operations in India or whereever. If a few get blown up it takes only seconds to divert the call to a new building and a couple of days to say "Check the power cord and reboot".
At the end of the day, Dell (or whomever) don't really care about the quality of the tech support much (and tech support quality is pretty hard to measure). Where there's a buck to be saved, save it!
Engineering is the art of compromise.
Maybe now i'll get my job back!
How the fuck can you talk about "critical thinking" when you don't even read the damn article?
for the attack
If I had mod-points I'd mod you -1 ignorant self-centred American. You people really disappoint sometimes.
Alright, I've not up to this point felt the need to post to Slashdot (please excuse my AC-ness here) but WTF is an AK-56? I cannot find any reference anywhere to a rifle matching this designation.
Sure, this might be a little off-topic, but no such fire-arm exists per any of my research (which I assure you is somewhat, vaguely, partially extensive). AK-47, sure... AKMS, fine... AK-74, great... AK-56?!
Hmmm. Some of my research (aka www.wikipedia.org) shows that the AK-47 wasn't actually issued until 1956 because of production problems, but I still can't fathom why this *coughcough*news-source*coughcough* would refer to the weapon as an AK-56.
More to the point, I might ask why the front-page of Slashdot is linking to The Register, which I seem to recall is little more than a rumour site? A flighty rumour site at that... What, no actual news source on this?
I clicked the link to the *coughcough*primary*coughcough* link here, and found very-freaking-little information. In fact, less information than was provided by the god damned Register. I would like to read a report that at least mentions the same arsenal that's stated by this flighty rumour site here. Oh well... Perhaps that just me.
One place that won't pull punches and which will call a terrorist a terrorist is Little Green Footballs. They are constantly on top of tracking and reporting on the activities of the islamofascists and other terrorist threats.
dont insult the Whores of the world.

MBA fucking stupid Assholes.
typically I find MBA's much less capable than the non degreed businessman that did his learn'in the hard way.. by actually doing it.
MBA mans you are a rich asshole with no talents, but will use your connections to get places.
real businessmen/women get ther on their abilities, sweat and negotiation that can not be learned.
MBA = the MCSE of the world. a worthless snot nosed idiot that some moron hired because HR has ADHD and is distracted by shiny certificates or diplomas.
It is commendable that this was caught before damage was done.
Having said that, this should be taken as a wake-up call to companies to refrain from sending U.S. data processing facilities to third-world countries.
Has it occured to said companies that if an attack, or even a security breach, occurs that it may not be a prosecuteable offense in that particular country???

From India to Indonesia, from the Netherlands to the Philippines the reason Muslims can't get along with their neighbors is because of Zionist occupied Palestine.
The post just above yours by azuredragon23 tells what happened. azuredragon23 also corrects my statements. I hope it is more clear now. Oh btw, I am a Muslim and I know I'd have elected to be a part of India if there was an option. Although I don't speak for other Muslims and Kashmiris, I believe India is much safer for Muslims as a secular country. Atleast, I won't be called a refugee by India like Pakistan does to Muslims who migrated to Pakistan during independence.
