Actually they are including anything up to midnight PST on April 7th Per the Captain/CEO (Look for Cleaver's post, right at the top)

I wonder if they name the islands after the winner's username. Because I would love to look on my map and see Captain Asshat Island.

A Lifetime Account to play Puzzle Pirates to infinity and beyond...

Funny, nearly all my games included this without having to win a contest. I'm a little curious as to how the plan to charge for this, as it doesn't strike me as the type of thing people would willing shell out money month after month for.

Erm, nevermind. I see it's already out, and they are already charging about $10 per month, and also offer a way to pay one time fees to open up parts of the game.

You can't call something "Bootytacular" and not include porn.

I just tried it, and found the click-on-arrow RPG style tedious (have never warmed to it). Can anyone here name a good free site that has puzzles where you don't have to walk characters to them?

games.yahoo.com is pretty good, and unless things have changed significantly in the past year most of the site is free.

I've heard things about zone.msn.com also, though I haven't tried it.

Orisinal doesn't have multiple players at once, but they have some of the most original, relaxing games I've ever played.

And, of course, for the hardcore there is the Kiseido Go Server.

There are a lot of game collection sites out there. What is it you're looking for?

You generally don't travel by clicking on the ground in Puzzle Pirates. Just use the map and click on your destination. You can travel from one side of an island to the other instantly.

Actually, I've been playing this game for over a year and I've got a few points to make.

As far as this being an ad goes, I almost started a story about the game the last time something big happend in the game. This game has a very loyal fanbase, and anything you hear from any of us is likely to sound like an ad because.

We like the game. We want more people to play it!

About the game not being subscription worthy, two points.

      1. I didn't think so either until I played it for a little while. I'm a subscriber, and I've introduced the game to other people who became subscribers.

      2. They have two different types of oceans. Subscription and 'doubloon' oceans. Doubloon oceans can be genuinely free. They use doubloons as part of their currency. These only enter the game when people buy them with cash. However, there's a secondary market in the game. If you're skilled, you can earn enough in game money to buy doubloons off of other pirates and play for free.

Here's a couple things to keep in mind if you decide to try the game:

When you create a new account, they put your character in a random ocean. If it's in a subscription ocean, you have a trial period where you play for free before the account is disabled. For future logins, you get to choose the ocean you log into. Choose a doubloon ocean if you don't think you want a subscription yet. You have a much better chance to try out all the things Puzzle Pirates has to offer.

People often try the game and then leave thinking that puzzles are all the game has to offer. The puzzles can be likened to battle on Everquest. In Puzzle Pirates, the puzzles aren't the only games. They are also the mechanisms that the larger game is based on.

Try it... it's free to try on subscription oceans, and it's free to play on doubloon oceans.
