Breakthrough Decodes 'Classical Holy Grail'

wka writes "Scientists at Oxford University have made a major breakthrough in their study of a large collection of Greek and Roman writings. Many of the documents known as the 'Oxyrhynchus Papyri' (found at 'ancient rubbish dump in central Egypt') are 'meaningless to the naked eye - decayed, worm-eaten and blackened by the passage of time.' Using an infrared technique originally developed for use with satellite imaging, scientists are able to view the original writing, which 'could lead to a 20 per cent increase in the number of great Greek and Roman works in existence'. Thus far, works by Sophocles, Lucian, Euripides, Hesiod and others have been (re-)discovered. Additionally, scientists think they 'are likely to find lost Christian gospels.' I doubt it. As with past gospels (and there have been many), they'll simply be ignored. After all, the bible is the Word of God, even if it is massively edited, retranslated, and so replete with errors and contradiction that you'd have to be mad to believe that. Of course, fundies aren't exactly known for their reasoning powers.

What luck! I'm of the Merovingian bloodline, you see. And a direct descendant of King Arthur. And the reincarnation of Sherlock Holmes.

Yep, sure is great to be me.

Doesn't what you say apply to any human institution.
    Your fallacy is as follows:

Find some foible in the human psyche.
Attribute it to an organization I don't like.

Christ was bashed because he did try to point out the actual reality of the universe as you claim in your post as a virtue.

If some of his followers act like humans and still do the sinful thing, that doesn't bare on Christ.

But if you listen to Christ you will forgive these people.

But it is very common for people in denial about reality ie the existance of God, and that Jesus Christ is Lord to be like you in your post.

Jesus was seeking to make us free, which is reality if we choose it.
