KDE Developers and Usability Folks on Cooperation
sultanoslack writes "Over at NewsForge a story just popped up on the usability experts from OpenUsability and some of the issues on working with KDE development teams, specifically the KDE PIM team. There's some interesting content on the different working styles of the two groups as well as a little bit on some of the improvements that were part of the recent KDE 3.4 release."
Congrjufuckignlations. Those screen shots are so fucking cool I nearly jizzed myself. I mean, file managers? IRC? Who would have known KDE has come so far. And look at all those icons on your KDE panel. I didn't even know you could customize that! AND FOLDERS ON THE DESKTOP! WOW. Shit I am about to pass out!

When an OS won't let you eject your CD with the button on the disc drive you know you have a problem. When "installing" a program means compiling it from source and trying to figure out WHERE THE FCK to put the files you know you have a problem. When installing a video card driver means modifying over 5 huge configuration files you know you have a problem. When you have to jump through hoops to change your screen's refresh rate you know you need to switch OS's. And Linux geeks wonder why more people don't use it...
