Suddenly_Dead writes "Microsoft's new command line shell, MSH or Monad, has entered the beta phase. Channel9 Wiki has information on how to download this (complete with Guest ID), and other related info."

    That this story has entered the Unix meme is pretty pathetic.

    Oh yeah, David Korn pwnd some MS marketing dweeb over some non-MS product! It was Unix's one shining moment in a time they were getting totally steamrolled by Windows. Way to take it to the man, Dr. Bell Labs Scientist!

    On topic, I haven't played with Monad, but it seems like MS has finally figured out you can't just put ksh on Windows and say, "There's your shell, you hippies!" -- you need to have something that actually works with the system.

    You made an ignorant statement and got called on it. Now you're whining that someone took your statement "too literally". LOL

    Besides that, your "with some exception" spin holds no water because even one of your cited languages, Python, disproves your point because Microsoft now controls Iron Python. The notion that they can't accept other languages is just ignorant ranting on your part. LOL
