The Neuron Drive
billy writes "After two weeks of planning, painting, cutting, and slicing, I have completed my idea for the Neuron Drive, the world's first 80GB canvas. It is a fully functional USB hard-drive. The Neuron Drive contains 2 fans and 1 Maxtor 80GB hard-drive. It is fully functional as a hard-drive and both fans spin."
His painting shows neurons as if they do not have synapses and are just one cohesive whole (that is so late 1800s). And then he has the nerve (bad pun I know) to label this under genius. What a douche.
the value of art increases when the Artist dies. Well since this has no where to go but up I wonder what happens to its value when the drive dies. no wait . it cant decrease can it ?
I wonder if it qualifies for the Waste Electronic Equipment act ? If so would it be taking the WEE to say its not worth disposing !
Worst submission ever !
And thats why Firecrackers and kittens don't mix.
As a piece of art, it is without merit. Modern art has indeed been pushing envelopes in all directions, and I confess that I don't understand all of them, though some are very good. This, on the other hand, is simply a piece of garbage.
As a piece of technology, I have even fewer kind words to say.
Truly the worst non-April Fools /. story in years.
