World's Smallest MP3 Player

Chris_Yates writes "mobiBlu is claiming to produce the world's smallest mp3 player, the DAH-1500 cube. The player is 24x24x24 millimeters (about the size of the tip of your finger or various small items), weighs 18 grams, uses OLED technology, and comes in a variety of colors. The 1GB version is currently selling for $130 at Wal-Mart. Buy one today, so you can lose it within a week!" Update: 07/25 22:56 GMT by T : An anonymous reader points out this review of the device.

How is this news? How can this possibly matter? It's not like someone just invented the mp3 player. Someone made a tiny one. Whoah, stop the presses! Tune in tomorrow when someone makes one .1mm smaller!

** "Radio? I remember that - it's what we used in the '80s. Actually, I remember in the '90s we could buy FM radios the size of credit cards - hell a local radio station was handing them out free when I was a kid. Hardly cutting edge technology (not to mention the appalling sound quality of FM radio." But the IPOD doesn't have one.. so therefore it lacks something SO simple.. ** "More than 1GB crazy? My (legal) music collection is around 15GB at the moment. I listen to less than 1GB of it each day - but I don't want to have to choose which 1GB I am going to listen to when I wake up in the morning." You carry your ENTIRE music collection with you?? why?? personally, i think its a WASTE of money to spend over $100 on an mp3 player when you can live perfectly comfortable with something cheaper.. Not only can I listen to 5 albums that I put on my mp3 player in a matter of seconds every morning, but I can listen to NPR at important times during my every day commute.. god damn you're all lazy, and you waste money.. punks.. mac fan boys.. ipods suck, and you know it.. all they got going for them is their navigation.. other than that, its like buying one of those HUGE bags of potato chips that you don't really need but you do anyway because you like being fat..
