The story title is incorrect. The emulator runs DOS and not Windows. Its not as easy to get Windows running on PSP I guess.

I always see these headlines here at slashdot and I always wonder.. why is it news or a 'big deal' that some device will run some flavor of Linux.. I suppose anything could if enough time and effort is put into the task. It seems to me like these headlines are saying "the sun is hot "..

This is lame. I submitted this article to slashdot in a more complete format, with links to the original emulator, links to the original forum post on the psphacks.net forums and the original article that was posted right after this guy announced his creation and way before pspupdates ever picked it up.

How come slashdot always posts the crap articles and never the complete ones. Come on guys.

This article first appeared on psphacks.net but of course, the mass media site that grabbed the story like, hours after it had been posted elsewhere gets the credit.

This was originally on psphacks.net, not pspadvertisements.com!

This won't work for anyone that has upgraded their PSP to anything above 1.0 of the Firmware. A little detail that got left out of the article..

Tell that to my 1.50 firmware. It loads linux just fine. At least, last time I checked, which was about 2 hours ago.

    But let me check again...

    NOOOOOOO, THE HORROR!

An ordinary post on an ordinary thread, hosted on an ordinary site, which just so happens to be in The Twilight Zone.

*ahem* Excuse me. But in all seriousness, having BOCHS run on PSP is a good thing. Now only if we werent' running an x86 based emulator, so we didnt have to emulate all those CPU cycles...

Linux is for geeks that like to spend their time compiling a bunch of junk to work just right. The same guys who go to Kevin Smith Q&A's and ask "dude, is Yoda cool, or what?" When are the Linux fanbois going to wake up and realize that BSD an OS X are the mongeese to Liinux's snake? Or is that snake to Linux's mongoose? I don't know from mongeeese.
