As night-fall does not come at once, neither does oppression...It is in such twilight that we all must be aware of change in the air -- however slight -- lest we become victims of the darkness.

Only they did it with the Red Ring of Death. First XBOX was crap. 360, lasted 5 months. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Next time, I'll by a PS3!
Another potential solution, and something I routinely do, is reply, only using made up names and other information. It seems to me that if they have to sift through the haystack to find the needle, this sort of activity will be much less attractive, at least from a cost / benefit perspective...
I always see these headlines here at slashdot and I always wonder.. why is it news or a 'big deal' that some device will run some flavor of Linux.. I suppose anything could if enough time and effort is put into the task. It seems to me like these headlines are saying "the sun is hot

Good old American Ingenuity. I am as unhappy with Bush et al as the next libertarian, but I can not help feel a sense of pride when, from hundreds of thousands of miles away, our space agency is able to free this stuck vehicle. All of this is incredible, and I am looking forward to the day when, like on the moon, I see the Stars and Stripes planted in the Martian soil.
Shut up. Are you seriously suggesting that given an actual train wreck happened in Japan, that the author is somehow insensitive to the issue? Or that he should be sensititve at all? "Train Wreck" is used all the time to describe projects or whatever that are going off the tracks. Who cares what you think anyhow. Shut up.
I don't see how posting so called private medical data really matters. For example, how can it matter if you know that I am a diabetic? For insurance purposes? I imagine that I have to declare this anyhow.. What else? Legal? This is already public knowledge? Financial? Largely public as well. I really don't see the reason for all the uproar.. of course.. my mind is open as to why I should care...
Anyone know what that final build number was? 10a432?
especially when the new product, arguably, is not as good as the original!

Ok. I should re-phrase that. "Trading copyrighted material, WITHOUT THE OWNER'S permission", is "againtst the law."
Wrong! No matter how you try to spin it, trading copyrighted material over the internet is against the law. Don't like it? Change the LAW.
