    the quickest case of the slashdot effect I've seen, did the server just run and hide or?

      I believe the server was a homebrew app running on an unpatched 1.0 PSP.

    the site is hosted on a PSP which, while great at portable gaming performance, just doesn't stand up to enterprise server requirements.
