FCC Seeks Tech Donations for Katrina Aid

An anonymous reader writes "BoingBoing is reporting on the FCC accepting donations of tech services and equipment: 'Lack of communications systems has been identified as a critical issue holding back aid, missing persons, law enforcement, etc. in crisis areas. FCC personnel are working throughout the weekend to coordinate these efforts with private industry, with wireless technology groups, FEMA, and state governments in Mississippi, Louisiana, etc.' Efforts are being organized through PART-15.ORG."

about 5% of Americans own 50% of American wealth. If elite politicians had been taxing those plutocrats properly, and using that money for infrastructure, this would have never happened.

Oh, and BTW, in my opinion, Bush, his cabinet, all the GOP congresspeople and most of the Democratic congresspeople are responsible for the deaths in New Orleans because they failed to tax the rich and use that money to protect New Orleans. That was murder.

Therefore, I hereby petition the US Justice Dept to indict all of above aforesaid parties for those New Orleans murders, and try them on capital murder charges in a court of law, in accordance with custom and due process, and should aforesaid parties be found guilty by a jury of their peers, or by a judge, duly appointed, I hereby petition the Justice Dept that they be given all death penalty sentences.

Just makes you wonder how America would cope with a nuclear attack, or a tsunami. After just a localised flood an entire city is reduced to third-world status. Anarchy, starvation, disease, rape, police unable to keep control, martial law, helicopters being attacked, it's something you'd expect in Baghdad or Afghanistan.

And the idea of armed gangs going round stealing, looting and raping, shooting at helicopters and the police, just shows what a disgrace the 2nd Ammendment is.
