Watching All Six Star Wars Movies Simultaneously

DavidSJ writes "WeirdHat created a video of all Star Wars movies being played simultaneously, side-by-side, and then watched it. Some notable finds: the first appearance of Palpatine in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones is on the same frame. Also, the Jedi Rocks music in Episode VI provides amusing accompaniment to the Anakain/Obi-Wan vs. Dooku fight in Episode III."

Apparently you can watch Wizard of Oz and start Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album, and all kinds of stuff magically matches up. Never tried it myself.

Roger Waters denied setting it up that way, but it would be genius if he did.

    Heh.

I've heard about this myself. A woman I used to date said it is absolutely true. I wonder if using the CD instead of an album would screw up the timing. I just looked up a page that describes the synchronicity in detail including when to start the album.

Yeah? And what seventh film containing the line "Luke, I am your father" are you watching? The correct The Empire Strikes Back quote is "No, I am your father."

"After reassessing everything in the movies laboriously, I have come to the conclusion that Darth Vader is the true hero of the original Star Wars trilogy. In this analysis, I generally consider only the movies themselves (Star Wars (A New Hope if you believe Lucas), Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi). For this presentation, we will be discussing them much in the same way the Thermians in Galaxy Quest viewed transmissions of Earth-based TV shows, as historical documents.

I have, at times, garnered some supporting info from the Expanded Universe of novels, comics, games, trading cards, and the many tech and art books on the subject. I delve a little into the new movies (Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith (or their more appropriate titles, 'Clone Wars' and 'Rise of the Sith')), but I tend to view them as a re-telling of history. A fabricated story told to the peoples of the galaxy after the events in the original trilogy. This analysis doesn't include the 'Dark Luke' saga of comics and books chronicling the events after Return of the Jedi. Many have pointed out that Luke's turn toward evil in those stories would support the theories presented here. My contention is that Luke was evil to begin with, that he is the true villain of the Star Wars universe."
