Watching All Six Star Wars Movies Simultaneously

DavidSJ writes "WeirdHat created a video of all Star Wars movies being played simultaneously, side-by-side, and then watched it. Some notable finds: the first appearance of Palpatine in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones is on the same frame. Also, the Jedi Rocks music in Episode VI provides amusing accompaniment to the Anakain/Obi-Wan vs. Dooku fight in Episode III."

I know I'm out of date here and all what with having only watched the first three original films (which I was not particularly impressed by) int he late 1990s, when I was about 20 and having only seen one of the three new films.

However, what on earth draws this kind of thoughtless, stupified devotion to such a mediocre franchise? I'm not saying the movies sucked - but they're only great in the way that Knight Rider seemed like a great TV show when you were five years old and doesn't hold up today, when you're 30.

I'm sorry ... there is nothing about the Floyd/Oz thing thats a coincedence. It was a clever marketing tactic by Pink Floyd as we're still talkng about it 30 years later.

These similarities only prove that Lucas uses a rather strict formula for his script. He probably cues fights at generally the same time, and those times probably coincide with the end of an act, etc. All this proves is that Lucas, rather than being exceptionally clever, is incredibly limited in his creative abilities.
