Classic Game Endings Online
Game Revolutions has a project running to collect together some of the finest game endings from the 16- and 8-bit eras. Some of the examples they have for viewing via Flash include Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, Flashback, Secret of Mana, and Starfox.
Maybe I can see the ending of Zelda II...
(A winner is you.)
Here is the correct link for Starfox.
Personally, I wish that they didn't restrict themselves to consoles. There were a lot of Commodore, Amiga, and early PC games that had great endings.
The Overrated mod is for reversing inappropriate, positive mods, not for voicing disagreement with a post.
Chrono Trigger should take up half of the article.
Religion for nerds. Stuff that really matters
I've been using MAME to play some old games. After 15 years, I still can't finish Rolling Thunder! What an awesome game that was. I did however finish Ikari Warriors. Damn, I'm old :(
http://religiousfreaks.com/Not flash, but http://www.vgmuseum.com/ has been around a LONG time and has an extensive archive of endings.
Where's my "it was all a dream" from mario brothers 2?

Why don't you just find out for yourself? link

I beat Infocom's game Enchanter by (somewhat accidently) exploiting a couple of game bugs. So I didn't have full points at the end. This wasn't ever supposed to happen of course, but there was still a cool ending where the circle of Enchanters expressed vague disappointment in my deeds, saying that "something was missing."
Maybe now I can finally figure out how Tetris ends!
Not a console game, but it is "16-bit".
Duke Nukem 3D

Sadly the best bit isn't there, where Duke rips off the head of the Overlord and shits down his neck !!
Ending to end all endings.
Time ticks away until I can play it again :

There are places where the networks are not touching, and there are places where they are-Boeing's Lori Gunter
Many game endings can also be seen in the tool-assisted game movies on http://bisqwit.iki.fi/nesvideos/ . In fact, you get more than just the endings there - you also get to see the entire games, played perfectly (or at least nearly so).
(And for the record, no, I'm not affiliated with that site in any way or shape at all - I'm just a fan who enjoys those movies.)
quidquid latine dictum sit altum videtur.
Would recomment you download a walkthrough for Another World, once you know what to do game its not very difficult and not really long either, can be played through in 30-40min.

:( bummer.
The only bad thing i have with this is that i can't roll as easily as i used to. It's as if the down key would get stuck
The vgmuseum.com site tried to isntall "Downloader-RK" on my computer via its popup advertisements.
"Mission Complete"
"You are the greatest player"
"Password: TGL"
From The Guardian Legend, an excellent top-down platformer plus vertical shooter. I spent months playing that game, gave up, then picked it up again and finally beat it. Too bad the ending sucked, the game is great.
Then there's the ending from Wizards & Warriors. FUN, FUN game, but after you beat the final boss...you save yet another maiden, and that's it. Yay, you get to put in your high score, which will be reset when you turn off the NES! I'm so excited!
Ikari Warriors also had a cheesy ending.
Man is the animal that laughs.
And occasionally whores for Karma.
It's tremendously easier if you use the Spiral Attack available (much) earlier in the level. He'll die in about 2-3 hits.
Xenon, where's my money? -Borno
Well, the earlier rant was about having gameplay actually interrupted by the little beggars. A cool ending cinema is a big different from having the game pause every five minutes for some random tidbit of motion capture. Ever line yourself up for a tough platform jump only to have the game shove an FMV under your nose right before you take off, sending you into the pit as soon as it finishes? That's the difference.
Anyone remembers the ending from Eye of the Beholder?
2 pages of text, then get thrown out to C:\>
I simply sat there amazed.
Fortunately, the ending from Eye of the Beholder II was great and more than made up for it.
