RIAA Sues Woman Who Has Never Used a Computer

boarder8925 writes "Marie Lindor, a home health aide who has never bought, used, or even turned on a computer in her life, was sued by the RIAA in Brooklyn federal court for using an 'online distribution system' to 'download, distribute, and/or make available for distribution' plaintiff's music files. She has requested a pre-motion conference in anticipation of making a summary judgment motion dismissing the complaint and awarding her attorneys fees under the Copyright Act."

By 'paster than past' you mean the pluperfect tense. You also mean 'more past than past' :)

  6. Get it through your turbans - it's only a cartoon! by Anonymous Coward · · Score: -1, Offtopic

Are Muslims incapable of understanding satire? Seriously, what rational, reasonable person thinks violence is an acceptable response to an offensive cartoon? Here's a clue, you fucking barbaric dogs: there are peaceful ways of registering your unhappiness. Ever hear of writing a letter to the editor, or failing that, a boycott? The rest of the world doesn't want to be imprisoned by your religious dogma.

Here's what I think is really going on: the cartoon about Mohammed wearing a bomb for a turban was so spot-on that it was painful for Muslims to accept. We're now witnessing a "revenge of conscience," the sometimes-violent backlash that happens when a person's idealogy is thrust in their face and what they say they believe doesn't agree with what they really believe.

Wake up, Europe and America! Theo Van Gogh, the Paris riots, the Mohammed cartoon furor - you are catching a terrifying glimpse of what life will be like if Islam is allowed to realize its goals of ruling the entire world. Unlike us, Arabs are not bored with centuries of decadent existence. They are angry at the centuries of failed leadership by their corrupt theocracies. Their leaders have led them into complete irrelevance while skillfully shifting the blame westward. Europeans, you are being bred out of your own countries. Americans, why do you try to empathize with someone who would slit your throat from ear to ear given the opportunity? WAKE UP!!!
