Prostitutes Call for a Ban on GTA

d writes "Gamespot has an article about an association of prostitutes protesting the GTA games. Apparently, the sex workers of the Sex Workers Outreach Project aren't too happy about their ingame counterparts being treated violently in the GTA games. They note that the games are a bad influence on children, and might encourage rape and violent behavior towards prostitutes in real life."

Really? Let me tell you what else: Begin a murderer is not a crime. Murdering people is a crime.

Not that I'm equating prostitution with murder. IMO, prostitution should be legal and very heavily regulated as it is in parts of Nevada. Clean, safe, no-pressure working environments in specifically zoned areas far away from residential neighborhoods, tax revenue out the wazoo, and everyone's happy. Well, except for the damn religious nuts who think it's their duty and right to force everyone to conform to their backwards morals based on a book written about mythology.

I'm just curious... how traumatic would rape be to someone who fucks for a living? I mean really?
