Yes I had my laptop searched at Toronto Pearson by the rent a cop customs security team. I had password on my laptop I just put it in, mind you I couldn't be bothered with any hastle as I had been travelling 20 hours and a flight home to the UK to catch.
But I remember some 'older' laptops of the more bulkier type they took the batterys and hard drives out to see if there was anything inside. This was just before the Trans-Atlantic bombing attempt.
Uses of IE:
1. Simple download tool for going onto the Mozila site to go download the latest Firefox release after a fresh install of Windows.
2. Err.... thats it.
Go to love Windows XP Home N edition which no one actualy uses, I wonder if they will favour open source in this choice as Microsoft will hardly back them now after the court skirmishes.
Electronic Arts seems to own them now, about 70 % of my games have their logo on which is the scary thing. They bought Maxis, asimulated Westwood Studies which made the best title of the 20th century, Command and Conquer.
Are there any OS's that support this yet, the only one I can think of is Vista but its only in Beta 2 so might not have it supported yet. Still great idea, move away from magnetic storage lets have everything flash.
Technically you would need at least 250 people to repopulate the Earth because of the number of genes you would need to have enough so generations down the line don't have curly teeth and straigh hair and 6 fingers. Still then Dr. Strangeglove was right!
I had to use one of those phones they have on planes it cost me a bomb, I can only imagine this will cost a lot more than if you were say surfing on your laptop in a hot spot in Starbucks. But I welcome the move of wifi, I think the use of cell phones will cause more problems with people getting anoyed at other people talking loudly raising cabin tensions.
Or how about Spider Solitaire!
Mac games are good, I enjoyed playing CNC Generals on my mac. Though if your a die hard gamer and a die hard Mac fan you need a windows box for games. As the Macbook isnt a good games machine, I don't know about the Macbook Pro though.

Downloading drivers from IBM is easy, its one of the best sites for download drivers for laptops from. He just sounds like someone who expects everything now, and doesn't seem capable of having a computer.
The problem with upgrading laptops it the motherboard as many things are intergrated onto it, you can upgrade to a certain extent with hard drives, more ram, no procesor, wifi card but graphics is harder. And motherboards are the most common laptop killer, seeing as they often cost more to buy to repair one that to buy an entire new laptop.
This happened last weekend, I had it by the end of friday night! Its preaty slick in view, nice interface, URGE is good, shame ipods can't be synced as iTunes is the worst player for memory resources.
