    As you no doubt well know, the word is often used thusly, and not just on Slashdot. Perhaps you should consider why it is so for a moment. Perhaps it is because many heterosexual people still find the very idea of two copulating men disgusting.

    By all means, have your equality. I don't care what you do in your bedroom. But when you decide to let everyone know what it is, exercising your freedom of speech, I shall exercise mine and call it what I see it is - something in the same category as coprophilia. Insofar as "shit-eater" is offensive, so is "gay". Whether to be offended or not is, as always, your choice.
