Best Buy 'Geek Squad' Accused of Pirating Software
Alien54 writes "Texas software company Winternals Software LP has sued Best Buy Co. Inc. in federal court, alleging that the nation's largest consumer electronics retailer was using unlicensed versions of its diagnostic equipment. Best Buy's Geek Squad, is alleged to be using pirated versions of the software since talks on a commercial licensing agreement broke off. A restraining order has been granted."
The software makers pad the cost anyways because of piracy. If we didn't pirate, then the people who buy the software would be buying it in vain.
Can I bum a sig?
Who goes to Best Buy for support in the first place?
They're also know-nothing losers like most best buy employees, as opposed to pirates who are awesome.
The Farewell Tour II
I work for the GeekSquad.
I am really getting a kick out of most of these posts. Some of you people are very good at making it sound like you know what you are talking about.
But trust me.... You don't. I think you just want to make yourself sound smart, when in reality you're just full of it.
This is how bad information gets passed around. If you dont know about the topic....Dont make yourself sound like you do.
I only post this rather obvious troll, because so far this thread has seen multiple comments from current/former GeekSquaders who are saying contradictory things.
