Nintendo games are too much of a chore to play these days. I just don't have the time to put up with slow dialog scrolls that can't be skipped or hours of tutorializing on systems and controls that have been standard for decades. Even if they put their games on other hardware I'd probably avoid their games, and I'm definitely not going to buy their hardware to put up with that crap on maybe three or four games I'd have any interest in for the lifetime of the device.

Nintendo may not need to change to survive, but they definitely need to change to win back customers like me.

I like Windows 8 and don't care how many idiots with mod points think otherwise. With Windows 8.1 they've decided to waste space on the taskbar for a completely pointless Start screen button, so it'll unfortunately have to suck my balls for now.

At the current download speeds it's going to take 2+ years to finish. Pretty inconvenient when you have to download everything to get at even one of the contained files.

Of course I don't actually give a fuck, since I don't have anywhere near enough time to waste on 20 year old arcade games. But if I were the sort to want any of this, it'd be a rather long wait to get anything.

That really depends upon your definition of strong. If strong means strong arm thug for the copyright industries, then Lessig probably isn't the right kind of strong. If strong means possibly having a reasonable, pragmatic approach and not caving to pressure from said industries, Lessig might not do so badly.

Linux is licensed like Qt, or was before Qt went GPL3. It just isn't a library so you can write stuff on top of it without linking against the kernel and requiring your to release your source. So you don't have much of a point there. Do you really expect Trolltech to give away the store and still be able to put out their product? And I don't see much point in arguing that GTK is more flexible for closed-source commercial apps anyway, can you even name any that use it? Because I can't, but I can definitely name some that use Qt.

If you think we're going to get something better by dismantling the federal government and entrenching fascism further you are a fucking moron and do not deserve to vote (or even come out of your mother's basement) ever again.
