E3 On Xbox Live Leads With Lost Planet
Next week all 360 owners can look forward to a free week of Xbox Live 'Gold service'. During the E3 events, dozens of pieces of downloadable content will be available via the service. Gamespot reports that this content will include a demo of the Capcom action-shooter Lost Planet. From the article: "One of the most anticipated titles tentatively set to ship for the 360 this year is Epic Games' Gears of War. While no demo for the third-person shooter will be made available, Microsoft will 'debut the first-ever Gears of War high-definition game trailer' on Xbox Live Marketplace. Several movie trailers will also be made available, as well as 'a flood of HD trailers from games that have yet to be announced.'"
In fact they've been giving away a bunch of free weekends, so it seems... Doesn't this devalue the service for paying members?

Seriously, i thought microsoft were trying to make the Xbox 360 seem less 'hardcore', when are the games for the casual gamers going to show up?
Peace, Love, Unity, Respect
Game trailers in HD on Live are nothing new. Now, if they had a Halo 3 demo downloadable via Live during the week of E3, THEN this would be something to talk about.
Nothing to see here, move along.
for the Wii? It would save on /. stories.
I just love the concept of "trailers" I know I am beating a dead horse but why do I get the feeling what is shown in the trailers does not match up with what is in the game, now they have a new toy where they can play that game with us all over again. I agree with the diverse nature of the games though :-)
