Yeah, it was the same episode that they tried using Windows and it crashed too much that they thought it might crash the ship while they waited for Windows Update to download the latest updates (since apparently Windows Update only works on Earth right now, but for some strange reason it doesn't let you do anything if its running on any machine in outer space, who wouldn't have known...yet another software bug?). Luckily they were still docked after the installation and final of a dozen reboots were completed when a nearby trader was kind enough to provide them a generous copy of Suse Linux in exchange for a ship name change to the Enterprise SL. I intalled Suse 10.1 at home. I have an ADSL connection and the installer didnt recognize it, I had to download rp-pppoe in another machine and copy using a floppy. Then I had to compile it. Easy task for experienced users, but not for newbies.
How is ADSL support in SLDE 10?
