Why Have Movies Been So Bad Lately?
mikesd81 asks: "Why have movies and shows been so bad lately? I find myself looking on my Video on Demand service from my cable company or flipping channels and just nothing seems to have any depth any more. But on the other hand, I happened to watch Stargate Atlantis and there was an incredible scene that just caught the emotion and emergency. So is it the directing? The writing? The acting? It seems more and more movies just aren't worth anything. Let alone paying $20 to go to a movie." Let's not forget the recent number of Hollywood remakes and the amount of "reality TV" being pumped out by the networks.
...just that you faggots want nothing more than sequel after sequel to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "Star Wars."
So you watch it because it is entertaining? I think it is more like propaganda. Welcome to the world where you have no brain and you are told what to think and how to act... be aware of this, be aware that google will soon be the new medium controller...
for gods sake, wake up america...
Shut Up, Be Happy
Does it go on forever?
Just like Corporate America isn't it?
c . -- all very prosaic and one dimensional yet these get all the reads and raves in Hollywood.
Actually there are 1000s of great scripts out there from many small town unknowns with very interesting plots but these don't get picked up because they may not sell overseas or they have too much message.
Also, many in the Hollywood system will only push their point of view (Pro-Jewish, anti-goy).
The Jews are dominate in the USA today and not up and coming any longer. Consequently, the Hollywood Jewish writers no longer have any grit to create really interesting stories. What's worse is many younger writers are picked up because they are chummy with the youth oriented producers. This youth focus tends to blur the films with a never ending present which doesn't reflect social history and oversimplifies geographical reality (Valley Girls, Farmers, New Yorkers, Suburbs, Nerds, Jocks, etc.). Some movies based on best-sellers can sometimes overcome this simplified slickness. I doubt many in Hollywood could put themselves in the shoes of 96% of other Americans.
Also, it's unbelievable how many crappy scripts involve child molestation/serial killers/gangs/drugs/rappers/crazies/terrorists/et
I am Bitter? No, just Disgusted and that's why I don't want to pay for Hollywood schtick, oh vey?
You're using Stargate as an example of *good* TV? That formulaic, badly acted series based on a film that was even worse? Wow, I think the problem might be your taste and not the movies.
