A Hands-On Zune Review
jayintune writes "2old2play.com got the chance to sit down with Microsoft's new media player, the Zune, to give some comments and insight into the players User Interface, Video Playback, Music Sharing, as well as software and setup." From the article: "I had expected the player to be fairly heavy, but after holding the Zune in my hand it was clear that I was wrong. It is not as light as the latest video iPod, but compared to my fourth-generation iPod, the Zune was lighter. The top of the Zune had a clear glass layer while the exterior had a tactile feel to it, nothing like the hard metal and plastic of the iPod devices. The 'skin' of the Zune was a 'rubberized' material that had a smooth seductive feel to it. I found myself unable to stop stroking the device, so much that the demo assistant asked me to put it down."
However many glowing reviews it gets I'm still not buying one. I don't even want an ipod and see them as overhyped too! What is the matter with people? Can't they just learn the value of thinking or conversations with complete strangers on long journeys instead of having to be listening to music or chattering on their mobile?

It sounds like you are the MS shill. The acrimony against MS is well deserved and MS has been guilty of most of the things you are trying to fluff off as /. rants.
But music is different from music trading.
.about 2/3rds of the people I know and hang around with are musicians (just back from a gig by one of them, in fact), and yet music sharing almost never bubbles up above the horizon. . .
That depends a good deal on the genre. I didn't say "bar," or "club." I specifically said "coffeehouse." There are implications in that.
. .
I notice that you don't say that you are a musician. If you're not; why would I talk to you about music sharing? It's unlikely you have anything to share.
Ask one of your musician friends to teach you something, and you'll be sharing music. Record something and you can start playing "If you give me yours I'll give you mine."
And in terms of meeting "hot girls" I note that you failed to even, ummmmmmmmmm, address, the most relevant point of my post.

Am I the only person who noticed this article has no attributed author, and is just like those middle of the night infomercials? Clearly this is microsoft marketing at its finest.... almost thought it was a review.
