If you're going to be posting things for public consumption, then you better get a thicker skin. They're typed words from nose-picking deweebs. The only reason they nit-picked everything you did is because they have nothing else in life that gives them a sense of self-worth. Most think the only thing that matters is their computer and their ability to haxor a script. The ones who have out-grown that mentality are either keeping their mouths shut or have written something constructive to you.
You're right, they're snobs. You should get a good chuckle out of it because the kids that are like that really don't have anything else in life to be proud of. Consider yourself better off for that.
Seven years ago I used to be just like them. A karma whoring know-it-all. Then I started using drugs, drinking, got a girlfriend, started having sex with a real vagina anytime I wanted, had a baby, cleaned up my act. The whole experince showed me how truely low and depraved I was as a nerd (and all fucked up all the time). I still know everything I did back then. I also know there's A LOT more to life than technology and my computer. I spend about 1 hour a day average on my home PC. Sometimes I don't use it at all. I don't check my e-mail because I don't get anything at home unless I'm expecting it. I don't chat. I don't use Linux anymore. Windows works fine, and I don't reinstall it every 30 days. And I come to slashdot when I'm bored.
Now I just read the funny posts and trolls. And I troll when I see some depraved know-it-all post. I've trolled on this story a little, but I just feel bad now that I see how sensitive you are. Fuck these people are morons in the "street smart" sense. There's still hope for you! Believe me, you can be a knowledgeable nerd with a hobby. Just don't forget that there are much more fulfilling things in life.
Develop a drug habbit for a few years if you have some kind of social inhibition that's keeping you locked up as a nerd desperate for nerdy friends.
And "M$" isn't cool. It's fucking immature. A company that makes money!?! $ony, Pep$i, $eagate, Pana$onic, George Luca$, Indu$trial Light and Magic, George Bu$h, Dreamwork$, $ubaru... Red Hat is careful to keep 'S' out of their name for a good reason I guess. I know: "my$QL" -------- TROLL!!!
Ignore these fucks that are saying anything destructive. Speak to the constructive ones. You are better than them if you are not one of them. Trust me!
