Home Theater Transformed Into Star Trek Bridge

gevmage writes "Gary Reign, a guy with apparently way too much time on his hands, built a home theater in his basement. This is not unusual. However, the room is designed, floor to ceiling, as the bridge of a Star Trek style starship. See his photo page for details."

As a woman, I would like to point out some of the positive qualities that I would see in a guy like this: 1) He's a handyman. Seriously, girls love it when a guy can fix things around the house and do projects that make the house look nicer. Women enjoy "feathering the nest" and fixing up a boring basement to be an exceptional home theater counts as "feathering the nest". Feathering points +50.

    2) It's in the basement. If you MUST have a "Star Trek" fetish, expressing it in an out of the way room like the basement is key. Discretion points +25 ("Star Trek" fetishes displayed in the front yard: -100 discretion points).

    3) It's creative and imaginative. Fairly self-explanatory, creativity and imagination can apply to many aspects of your life. Good Qualities points +25.

    4) It keeps him at home! In an era where adultery seems distressingly common, girls have the comfort factor of knowing *exactly* where their gee - er, husband is - in the basement, playing with he electronics.

So, there it is! A few reasons why I, as a woman, might find this guy appealing.
