New Species Of Great Cat Found

highwaytohell writes "Scientists have found a new species of leopard on Borneo and Sumatra. The Bornean Clouded Leopard or Neofelis Diardi was originally thought to be similar to the mainland Clouded Leopard. However, Dr Stephen O'Brien, Head of the Laboratory of Genomic Diversity, US National Cancer Institute says, "Genetic research results clearly indicate that the clouded leopards of Borneo should be considered a separate species, DNA tests highlighted around 40 differences between the two species." The news comes just a few weeks after a WWF report showed that scientists had identified at least 52 new species of animals and plants over the past year on Borneo."

I still call it the WWF. I think its completely ridiculous that a wildlife fund and a wrestling federation can't share a trademark. Trademarks are only supposed to be exclusive for organizations in the same field. This is why Apple continues to be allowed to sell music, as long as they don't produce music, which would make them in conflict with Apple records.

I'm guessing you missed the news:

On 5 February 2007, Apple Inc. and Apple Corps announced a settlement of their trademark dispute under which Apple Inc. will own all of the trademarks related to "Apple" and will license certain of those trademarks back to Apple Corps for their continued use. The settlement ends the ongoing trademark lawsuit between the companies, with each party bearing its own legal costs, and Apple Inc. will continue using its name and logos on iTunes. The settlement includes terms that are confidential.
So there will be no more lawsuits between Apple Inc. and Apple Corps. Apple Inc.'s press release.
