US Expands Airport Biometric Data Collection
athloi sends word of an expansion of the US-VISIT program that now requires two fingerprints from foreign visitors arriving at scores of airports. Beginning later this year the US will be testing a system that collects 10 digital fingerprints, at 10 major points of entry. A US Homeland Security director assured EU officials that the program would operate under strict privacy rules. But he noted that the FBI and CIA will have access to the biometric data, which over time may expand beyond fingerprints.

No, it's not because of just the security rules. There's a general arrogance in your typical American, a sort of "America can do no wrong" attitude. This, combined with the fact that typical Americans immediately turn a blind eye to their own failings, tends to earn resentment. Plus the fact that they are SO DAMNED LOUD AT MEALTIMES god, I hate it when Americans come into a restaurant....
See the Brits can be real snobs. But ask any Brit and he'll be the first to criticize himself and his own country. But America, no, America is perfect.
Please, enjoy your "freedom" fries. Continue to make French "surrender" jokes even in KIDS MOVIES (Flushed Away is a perfect example). But don't wonder why everyone hates you.
