'Lost', 'Heroes' Videogames Debuted at Comic-Con
GameDaily reports that yesterday saw the debut of a trailer for the official Lost videogame. The game is slated for early next year, to coincide with the beginning of the fourth (and newly abbreviated) season of the show. Ubisoft Montreal is developing the game, and has apparently been working closely with the show's production staff. "Players will assume the role of a passenger on the ill-fated Oceanic flight 815 who survives the crash and is stranded on the uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean. As the player begins to unravel mysteries of the island, new secrets about your character are revealed. Players will have to understand their character's past mistakes in order to survive and find their way home. The game will incorporate familiar locations and will feature main characters from the show. Gameplay will involve solving puzzles, outsmarting enemies, battling the smoke monster, and overcoming many other challenges to survive the island and ultimately come out alive." Game|Life has some fleeting impressions of the trailer. There are also some scant details of a videogame version of the show Heroes , currently in pre-production by Ubisoft as well.
J.J. Abrams (creator of Lost) did not reveal the title of his mysterious "Cloverfield" film first previewed during Transformers. He denied it was "Monstrous" though.
Whatever it is, its particularly intriguing, and there's enough drama and secrecy surrounding it to make its own film.

Given the sagging ratings (and overall indifference of the general populace to the show) - wouldn't it have been much more intelligent to produce and release this game a few years ago? (You know - when Lost was actually popular?)
I just lost the game!
Oh, say does that Star-Spangled Banner entwine / The myrtle of Venus with Bacchus's vine?
Perhaps it is based on the table-top RPG?
Dewey, you fool! Your decimal system has played right into my hands!

(-1: Post disagrees with my already-settled worldview) is not a valid mod option.
Let me preface this by saying I'm a huge 'Lost' fan. But it's too bad they decided to set the game in the "current" season 1-3 arc. It would have been far more interesting (for me, anyway) to set the game at some time before season 1, so that everything we encounter on the Island is new. I'd love to play a 'Lost' game as someone who came to the Island before season 1, maybe even a DHARMA guy who escaped the Purge, and see events that shaped the Island by the time we reach season 1 of the show.
Lindelof & Cuse say that they have the whole pre-history of the Island already mapped out. I'm sure they won't have enough time in the remaining seasons to cover everything; let us discover some of those mysteries through a game set in the "before season 1" time. Setting it in the "current" time kind of makes it seem flat.
Nobody would have noticed the complete absence of meaningful dialogue and random plot.
Why do they always take the same craptastic idea and make it a video game. I'm as interested in playing lost the videogame as much as i'm wanting to play Martha Steward: The Jail Years. You know the game where you have to make creative shanks with just common housecell items,oh and don't forget the Jailsheet doily.
some people are a "glass half empty" some are "glass half full" i'm a "there is something in the glass be happy" person
This just in. EA studios is working with Paris Hilton to bring to you the exciting video game version of the Simple Life. Play as your favorite broken down billionaire as she runs around the country performing menial tasks. Then when the day is over, you can follow Paris as she gets caught for drinking and driving and gets tossed in the slammer. Fun for the whole family!
ESRB Rating: E for EVERYONE!!!11!!1111!!!!!!
I would kill to play as Sylar. So I can kill some more Heroes, I guess. The cheerleader annoys me so I hope you are allowed to kill her.

Just think, then they won't just have Polar Bears and the Others to worry about ...
And, to be gender neutral, you should be allowed to be the Cheerleader who is Sylar.

Hmm, well I found the 3rd season to be spotty at best, but my favorite so far is the 4th season.
In the fifth season all the questions got answered, so I kind of started losing interest, especially after the robot penguin invasion.
