Apple is the single point of contact for all updates to their systems.

Any files/libraries needed in addition to the drivers would come from apple during the same update. Assuming they provide one.

It's of of the nice things about apple and it's one of the most frustrating when you find there is a bug

Tell that to my non hardware accelerated h.264 video.

Far as I know, in Canada, the bill keeps dying cause we have an election every 45 minutes. Lucky us I guess. As to why it would be worse, my guess is because we have government that is willing to bend over to ensure that exports don't stop and money keeps flowing into the country. The "little guy" is always eager to show the "big boys" he's willing to play by their rules by going one step further. Canada has a massive inferiority complex, to the point where we get excited when someone/something Canadian is mentioned on TV or becomes popular. It's sad.

You have two copies of every "patch" for PPC and Intel so that doubles the size automatically. I think it would be 3-4 copies. 32-bit and 64-bit for each architecture. I say 3-4 cause I'm not entirely sure they have 32-bit PPC.

I had a similar issue. I could duplicate it by the following
    1. Turn on full screen visualization in iTunes
    2. Stop the music (or otherwise have iTunes to nothing)
    3. Allow the computer to start the screen saver (or turn off the monitor )
    4. Wake up the screen
If will now be exited from the visualization but the dock will be missing. My guess is that starting a full screen app sets a flag to hide the dock and the method I describe bypasses setting it back.
I was able to get the dock back by going into full screen visualization and then exiting it.
(* trying it again right now to make sure I'm not a liar)

I think you'd have more than a few pissed off fans if they revealed anything important to the story outside of the show. People who either didn't have the time or patience for the ARG last summer felt that way. While I don't mind extending the world of :ost into different formats, books, games, etc... I do feel that with shows like these, it should be able to stand alone. Any additional media should expand the universe but not be required to make the core story complete.

It might have something to do with keeping the acceleration constant. If the ring is at an angle then it would have to account for the time when the direction of travel would go with gravity and the time when it's fighting against gravity. With a horizontal ring the direction of travel is perpendicular to the pull of gravity and can more or less be ignored.

Space stopped showing DS9 a while back, basically, because they had been doing so since Space first started. Farscape, B5, and X-Fie were all shown for quite a while and were able to make something like 4 runs through each series. Space won't get Doctor Who (the new one ) because it's a BBC/CBC coproduction. It would be nice if they started showing The Twilight Zone and old Doctor Who. The last time I saw classic Twilight Zone was back in the mid 90's Saturdays at 5:00am on a CBS station. (I can't believe I used to get up that early ) One show I can't wait to see back on Space is Charlie Jade, if you haven't seen it, find a way to, and give it a chance. It starts off slow but has a fairly interesting premise and gets better as the season progresses.
