I would never socialize with a Slashdot user! Never, ever, ever. Sorry guys :/

You only have yourselves to blame.

but my summary wasn't as good - so I guess the editors made the right choice.

The main reason I submitted it was to push that 'pending' in my submission queue, from last August, off the page. But apparently it doesn't work that way, because it is still there, 5 from the bottom. Call it ocd but it really bugs me - I like everything rejected or accepted. I mean pending is acceptable for a few days even - but then it needs to get sorted out.

It's hard to believe that's how Micronians are made. Why don't we see it right now by having you both kiss one another?

Hey, it takes more than just throwing a dart at a board to steal an idea, you know...if they were smart enough to automate cherry-picking of submissions, they'd be smart enough to come up with their own. They are not. We get to deal with it. Life's tough, and then you get rejected.

      then you get rejected

and that's all I want. But it's cool. I thought I could just push it off the bottom of the page, but apparently I have to wait for it to age out.

I'm guessing that instead of rejecting it first, and _then_ ripping submitters off by using roland poop-pah-meal, etc. they think if they just let it quietly die like a bloated x-groundhog lying under the front porch in the heat of the afternoon, maybe no one will notice.

But just like that motionless and maggot-ridden rodent, the wafting smell of a purloined post gives up the ghost hiding in the shadows.
