Fun Dance Dance Revolution Mod Hits the Pavement

It seems that the Newport Aquarium in Northern Kentucky has a cool custom mod for their Dance Dance Revolution game. Frogger. Yes, you too can hop your way to 8-bit excitement with this cool mod. The game was unveiled as a part of "The Frog Bog" exhibit, which is a celebration of all things froggy. It's always fun to see neat little mod projects like this.

Or better yet, play Sonic by running on a treadmill. That'll burn away that geek fat!

Those aren't just DDR pads - they look like stainless steel DDR pads. Those things should be in a rest area bathroom.

Well, they *are* in a swamp, after all.

Really, though, that looks like the most awesome set of pads ever. I don't need the darned things to blink, I just want them to register when I step on them -- and to keep registering on a "hold".

But what do I know... I can only do 6-7 footers. Not bad for a 40-year-old, though.

I've posted the topic at the DDRFreak forum. It'll be interesting to see what they have to say. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a FroggerFreak forum.

Stressed? Me? Of course not. Stress is what a rubber band feels before it breaks, silly.

Konami introduced a few kids games for the PS2 played using a control mat on the floor, to get the mat you had to buy the frogger game which has quite a few fun mini games for 2-5 year olds.

THere are some other 'edutainment' titles which are supposed to help with letters, numbers, shapes and colours, but I've only got the frogger game for my kids.

My 3 year old is pretty good at most the games but has lost interest since I got Rock Band. Turns out she's doing a pretty good job as a vocalist.

You know, it's just across the river and I never go. Having problems with the log jumping part? Don't worry, lots of people have problems with that part. It's all about the timing. Don't worry, you'll get it soon. I have faith in you.

Robotron on the 2-player DDR chassis. One player controls shooting, the other controls motion. Or give two players a D-pad for shooting and let them play co-op.
