First Max Payne Trailer Released

Kotaku has pointed out the first official Max Payne trailer for the movie based on Remedy Entertainment's third-person shooter. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg, and should be hitting the streets this coming October.

    Looks great to me: dark, stylish and remnants of Frank Miller (thinking Sin City). Can't see Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne though.

    almost everything I saw reminded me of the first game.

    the checkered floor, the candles, the crib and bedroom fading to unsaturated darkness, the bullet time!

    This looks like someone might actually have gotten the source material right.

    if you want someone that really reminds you of Max Payne, perhaps the developer from Remedy who was used for modelling would be even better (Sami Jarvi [http://www.moviefans.de/a-z/m/max-payne/sam-lake.jpg]) :)
